Cranleigh battled back from behind to secure a brilliant 3–2 away win at Bagshot, showing grit and determination after going into half-time trailing 2–1.
The Cranes’ first goal came courtesy of Adam Bicknell, who produced a moment of magic — lobbing the keeper from 30 yards after a perfectly weighted through ball from Ellis Rowland. Despite that strike, Cranleigh found themselves behind at the break.
The second half saw a spirited response. Jake Collins levelled the score with a composed finish following smart play from Jonah Harewood, before Bicknell struck again to seal the comeback and all three points.
Manager Sam Carpenter was full of praise for his side’s resilience and mentality:
“The lads showed real character to turn it around. We kept our composure and played our football.”
Carpenter also hailed Bicknell’s first-half strike as a “goal of the season contender”, a performance that rightly earned him Man of the Match honours.
A memorable away win for the Cranes, built on belief, teamwork, and a touch of brilliance.
The Cranes now sit 5th on 14 points after 9 games.
