Cranleigh Parish Council has begun an important long-term project to modernise Snoxhall Pavilion, ensuring it can meet the future needs of our growing sporting community. As local participation in football and other sports continues to rise, improving the facilities at Snoxhall Fields is essential — and Cranleigh FC is proud to support this work.
Unlocking the pavilion’s potential
A key early step in the wider modernisation plan is the relocation of the existing machine shed. Moving this facility will free up vital space around the pavilion, enabling future expansion and improvements such as additional changing rooms and upgraded amenities for players, officials, and visiting clubs.
The machine shed relocation forms Phase One of the modernisation project. Phase Two will focus on increasing the number of changing rooms and transforming the pavilion into a modern, adaptable building that can better serve the whole community.

Investment in the future of Cranleigh sport
Cranleigh Parish Council is currently bidding for Strategic Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding to build the new machine shed at Snoxhall Fields. This facility will support grounds maintenance across Cranleigh’s recreation spaces — both existing sites and any future areas that may fall under Parish Council responsibility following local government changes.
The total project value is around £300,000, with the Parish Council committing 25% matched funding. Planning permission has already been secured, and the site compound at Snoxhall Fields has been prepared, meaning the project is ready to move forward as soon as funding is confirmed.
Your support matters
To strengthen its funding application, the Parish Council must provide evidence of strong community support — and this is where local residents, players, families, coaches, and volunteers can make a real difference.
A short online survey has been launched to gather views on the project. By taking a moment to complete it, you’ll be helping to ensure that Snoxhall Pavilion can continue to grow and develop as a home for community sport.
Please complete the survey by Friday 12 December 2025.
On behalf of everyone at Cranleigh FC, thank you for supporting the future of sport in our village.
