Cranleigh FC would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made our End of Season Celebration on Saturday, 17th May such a huge success.
With hundreds of players, families, and supporters turning up in force, the day was a true reflection of what makes our club special. From the sea of smiles on young players’ faces to the laughter echoing across the pitches, it was clear the Cranleigh FC community was out in full force.
First and foremost, a massive thank you goes to our coaches for rallying their teams and making the day such a well-organised and enjoyable affair. To all the parents and players who supported the club, whether by playing, entering the raffle, enjoying the BBQ and bar, or testing their skills against the goalie, we couldn’t have done it without you.
A huge thank you as well to all the local businesses and individuals who generously donated prizes for our raffle, your support made a real difference and helped us raise vital funds for the club. And of course to Imy who worked tirelessly to secure the prizes!
Our sincere thanks also go to Glebelands School, whose support was instrumental in making this event possible. We’re already looking forward to partnering with them for future events.
A big shoutout to Mika, our event photographer, who captured the day beautifully; we’ll be sharing some of those fantastic moments with you soon.
Poppy from Drop and Crumb deserves a special mention too. Her coffee van kept the parents fuelled and focused throughout the day!
A huge thank you to Stu Powick for managing the medals and trophies, and ensuring each one was photographed before being proudly handed out. Top marks for organisation!
We were also delighted to have four of our senior players supporting the day: First Team Captain Ciaran Lynch, Women’s Captain Leanne Maynard, Kelly Brown, and Maria Kemp. They were brilliant role models and even pitched in with the award presentations.
And finally, to our incredible team of volunteers. From the Committee — Stefan Brash, Lucy Kinloch, Lisa Hard, Chris Liddicott, Steve Batchelor, Pete Ridley, Roger Barriball, Greg Hard, Dave Nicholas, Martin Fullard and Ian Dobbs — to the army of helpers who ran the BBQ, staffed the bar, manned the First Aid tent, and more, you are the heart of this club, and we are so grateful for everything you do.
Cranleigh FC is, at its core, a community club, and this celebration was community spirit at its absolute best.
Our End of Season Awards Night is on Friday 23rd May from 7pm at Cranleigh Village Sports and Social Club, entry is £10.
As we look ahead, a quick reminder that our AGM takes place on Monday 2nd June at 8pm, at Cranleigh Cricket Club. Whether you’re interested in coaching, volunteering, or simply supporting the club, we’d love to see you there. All are welcome.
