Dave Nicholas, Director of Football, shares some updates on the senior men’s teams ambitions for next season.
With the 2024/25 season now wrapped up, attention is already turning to what promises to be an exciting new chapter for Cranleigh FC’s Senior Club.
Preparations are well underway, with the management team hard at work shaping the squad and securing a competitive pre-season schedule ahead of the early August kick-off for Step 5 and 6 clubs. A number of friendlies have already been lined up, with fixtures against the likes of Yateley, Worthing United, Billingshurst, Watersfield, Ash United, and Capel expected to form the backbone of a strong and testing pre-season line-up.
We’re also delighted to be in discussions with Godalming Town to take part in this year’s prestigious Bill Kyte Cup. It’s an honour to be invited and a clear sign of the progress our club continues to make both on and off the pitch.
Exact dates, venues and kick-off times for these matches will be confirmed in the coming weeks, alongside details for the return to pre-season training – currently pencilled in for late June or early July.
Behind the scenes, the recruitment drive is already in motion. Talks are ongoing with a mix of fresh faces and familiar favourites, as we look to assemble a squad capable of building on this year’s momentum and mounting a serious promotion push.
We’ll also soon be launching an exciting new ‘Sponsor a Player’ initiative, offering fans and local businesses the opportunity to support individual players and be part of their journey for the season ahead.
Stay tuned – there’s plenty more to come. Up the Cranes!
