Battersea Ironsides 0-3 Cranleigh
Cranleigh delivered a superb all-round performance to secure a 3–0 away win at Battersea Ironsides, with Adam Bicknell once again stealing the headlines after scoring a second consecutive hat-trick.
The Cranes went into half-time 1–0 ahead thanks to Bicknell’s first of the evening — calmly slotting home a penalty into the bottom right corner after Cranleigh pressure forced the hosts into a foul.
After the break, Cranleigh kicked on. A flick-on from Paolo Luke allowed Bicknell to drive at the Ironsides defence before unleashing a powerful strike from the middle of the box to double the lead.
The hat-trick was completed in style, with Luke again the provider, delivering a long ball into the box that Bicknell met with a thunderous right footed strike to wrap up another memorable night.
Bicknell’s exploits — six goals in two games — deservedly earned him the Man of the Match award, but this was a real team effort across the park.

Joint Manager Sam Carpenter said: “It was a really good performance; solid, defensively excellent, and the midfield kept us ticking. The energy levels were high and it was an enjoyable game to watch. Everyone worked their socks off and we fully deserved the win. We’re up to seventh now, and it’s a great result against a team who were second in the form table.”
