An away game at Reigate was switched at the last moment to Snoxall due to the Reigate pitch being unplayable.
A very slow start by Cranleigh as we seemed content to stand off the Reigate players and watch them play.
For 10 minutes we hardly had a kick of the ball and its a massive credit to our defence that despite having all the possession our keeper wasn’t tested.

Gradually we started to wake up and start to get stuck into the game and the Reigate players.
Our first goal was scored by Zach Whittle finishing off a nice move from a throw in 1-0.
Leo Lord burst through the Reigate defence soon after prompting a good save from their keeper .
Buster Boomer having another great game in defence put Josh Maurizi in on goal and under pressure from 2 defenders Josh calmly scored the second 2-0.The third goal came as Jack Rogers ran on to a ball over the top and with the keeper advancing beat him to the ball and headed into an empty net 3-0. Josh Maurizi had worked tirelessly all game and his persistence in hounding and pressing defenders caused a mistake which he looked to capitalise on before being brought down for a penalty.
After his hard work in winning the penalty and as we were 3-0 up it seemed only right to let Josh take the spot kick which he duly scored 4-0.

Half time and for the 3rd week in a row we were 4-0 up with our keeper not having to of made a save.
With the score at 4-0 you could be mistaken thinking our attack had dominated but in fact again we had been superb at the back.
Mindful of last weeks lack of concentration at the start of the new half Cranleigh started strongly.
A long ball by Reigate was spotted by Isaac Denton – Miller who came out from goal to clear and lofted the ball over the Reigate defence into the path of Jack Rogers who muscled his way to goal for 5-0.
Another chance for Leo as he was 1v1 with the keeper and looked certain to score only to scuff his shot which trickled into the goalies hands.

Despite his miss Leo still worked hard and his excellent cross almost found Josh Maurizi at the back post who was agonisingly inches short of completing his hatrick. It had taken 60 minutes of the game before Isaac Denton – Miller had to make a save as he held onto a long range effort.Patrick Mare was having his best game of the season in defence not losing a challenge all game and his rampaging run forward from left back led to the sixth goal.A pass from Pat was collected by Jack Rogers who pinged a lovely ball into the 6 yard box for an advancing Sullivan Howick to stab home 6-0.By now the pitch was starting to cut up a bit and this led to us conceding as the ball bobbled in our area and the Reigate forward scoring 6-1

A Reigate corner was met by Jack Rogers with a towering header straight into the top corner of the goal …. unfortunately our goal 6-2
Jack almost made amends 2 minutes later but his shot struck the post ‘.
In the dieing seconds Buster Boomer intercepted a pass and with space in front of him carried the ball forward .
With the spectators urging him on and willing him to score , a feat he has never achieved Buster unleashed a powerful shot which the keeper saved to disappointed groans from the parents.
Final score 6-2 and another good performance albeit with yet another slow start .
