After scoring 4 and hitting the woodwork 5 times much was expected in the second game

Unfortunately despite loads of possession Cranleigh struggled to score . Great saves by the Bookham keeper were keeping the scores level. First Will narrowly missed with a chance. Then Fletcher bringing the ball out of defence was very unlucky not to score with a fine effort.

With the score 0-0 at half time it was stressed how important and early goal was with my final words to the team to just go and score. A 1-2 between Ethan Payne and Will enabled Will to finally put us up 1-0 at the start of the second half after only 15 seconds. Easy this coaching !!! After finally scoring the team started to relax and the goals started to come. An  awesome cross field ball out of defence by Fletcher put through Will for 2-0. Amazingly the same cross field ball by Fletcher found Charlie Gibson for 3-0

Every time Bookham had the ball Cranleigh pressed which was causing them lots of problems. Our fourth goal was  scored by Will as he intercepted a goal kick and calmly slotted home. By this time the Bookham keeper was so dispirited in every goal kick being intercepted by Cranleigh that he resorted  to just kicking it straight out  for a Cranleigh throw in. Fletcher Russell was having a great game and he capped his performance with aa longer range shot for 5-0. With Cranleigh 5-0 up and our keeper completely bored Isaac Holt swapped with him and went In goal .

In the dying  seconds of the game Bookham broke and with their center forward bearing down on our goal and a 1v1 with our stand in keeper  the clean sheet looked lost. Isaac Ginger Holt on his goal keeping debut produced  a fantastic turning the ball away for a corner.

Final whistle 5-0 to Cranleigh and 12 wins from 12 to finish our season unbeaten in the league.
