Cranleigh FC Women’s Team secured their third win of the season with a 2-1 win over Guildford Saints Ladies at Bruce McKenzie Memorial Field,. A hard-fought match GS are an experienced and skillful team. A first half penalty was tucked away by Soph Stevens and she and Leila Bouchiba (player of the match) were a constant threat down the flanks. But Guildford Saints don’t give up and their attacking flair created a chance which they finished off to bring the scores level at half-time

Mrs Brown with some fine saves kept the opposition out on a number of occasions when it looked like they score

The game was end to end with lots of space on the pitch created by Guildford Saints having a league concession to play 9v9. We rotated our substitutes and used fresh legs to keep them under pressure

In the last five minutes a flowing move resulted in a goal for Cranleigh from Amelia Johnson and we held on for a valuable three points
