An away game to Chesworth playing in the Horsham Town stadium on the astro turf
Cranleigh were down to the bare 11 due to injuries and with no keeper Ethan Payne courageously stepped forward. The Horsham Town pitch is huge and with no subs and Chesworth having 5 subs it was going to be a tough morning
Chesworth started strongly and had the first chance which was saved by Ethan ,probably a good thing to get in an early save for confidence. Surprisingly Cranleigh scored first as a great cross by Sullivan was headed home by Leo Lord. Another cross into the Chesworth box minutes later saw the ball come off a defenders knee bounce up and clearly hit his arm .. penalty surely !? Not given ? Disappointment for Cranleigh surely it must of been given .
More disappointment as Chesworth broke down our right to score the equaliser.
Yet another penalty appeal as a Cranleigh player is scythed down in the box, but yet again no penalty given. As Cranleigh are still appealing desperately, Chesworth break and score for 2-1
Heads were starting to drop  for Cranleigh after 2 clear penalties not given and Chesworth seizing on the chance to go ahead.
A great save by Ethan stopped us going further behind and again 2 minutes later bravely coming out to dive at the strikers feet and smother the ball.
Just before the end of the half a blistering shot from outside the area was tipped over the bar  by Ethan as the half finished 2-1. A dejected Cranleigh team at half time after battling well only to have 2 decisions not given and then going behind.
At the start of the 2nd half a Chesworth corner fell to Josh and as he shaped to clear he was tugged back by his shirt causing him to scuff his clearance to a Chesworth player who then scored for 3-1.
Chances were coming our way as Zach had an effort cleared off the line which fell to Josh who narrowly shot wide. With no subs and  injuries to Harry Dancaster and Eddie Ragusa the last 20 minutes were hard to watch as Chesworth with their fresh players coming on scored 3 late goals
Final effort of the game was saved by their keeper as the game finished 6-1
Not a fair result if im honest but Chesworth did play well and deserved to win if not by 6-1
Scorer – Leo Lord
Men of the Match
Ethan Payne – deputising in goal and kept us in it in the first half with amazing saves
Patrick Mare – turns up late looking like hes still asleep and produces a superb game .. maybe that’s the way forward
