Perfect weather for our first game of the season with the pitches at Snoxhall looking great.

Cranleigh started to take control after a cagey first 10 minutes and then proceeded to boss the first half. After 5 or 6 missed chances we took the lead when Bertie smashed into the back of the Elstead net following some good work by Daniel.

The second half started with Cranleigh in control again, but unable to increase their one goal advantage. As the half progressed Elstead started to come back into the game, but the Cranleigh defence of James, Connor, Will and Keir held firm with some composed defending. The midfielders and attackers started to find their rhythm again and an excellent move ended with Daniel applying pressure to the Elstead goalkeeper who fumbled and the ball ended up going in off of Daniel’s shoulder! Not long after Jack finished another good move with a powerful shot into the bottom right corner – 3-0!

Special mention to David who made some vital saves to keep hold of the clean sheet!

Overall a good result to start our league campaign!
