After winning the away league fixture 5 -0 a lot of emphasis was put on to the fact that you win nothing by turning up you have to earn the win no matter the opposition. With this ringing in their ears  a great cross by Jack Rogers was volleyed home by Deon Mubaiwa after 3 minutes.

The team played with purpose and after another 5 minutes after some slick passing Deon scored his and the teams 2nd. Jack Rogers and Sullivan Howick were tormenting the Billingshurst fullbacks and another superb run and cross by Jack was headed into his own net by the defender with Sullivan lurking behind him to finish 3-0

With Cranleigh 3 -0 up and our keeper Isaac Denton Miller yet to touch the ball things were looking good. Billingshurst really couldn’t cope with Cranleighs pressing game and everytime they had the ball we hurried them into a mistake . William Aitken had twice come close from corners having his efforts blocked so it was a just reward when he caused the defender to make a mistake and drove the ball home for 4-0

Just before halftime Deon completed his hat trick with a very calm finish to put us 5-0 up after a superb run by Sullivan and a neat and unselfish layoff. It was a great half by Cranleigh with some great flowing moves . The second half started in much the same way and if we had displayed cooler heads in front of goal and a bit more willingness to pass when near the Billingshurst area we might have scored a lot more goals.

Ethan Payne scored a 6th for Cranleigh with a good run and finish with Deon drawing a defender away to make the space . Deon then missed with a 1 on 1 with the keeper but kept his head minutes later to score the 7th and his 4th giving him 25 goals for the season.

Once again the defence were fantastic With Jack Westermans driving runs out from the back and Charlie and Busters crunching tackles. A mention also for Oliver Harrison who came on and had a great game and his best game this season at left back . well done Oliie.

However its not always the goal scorers or the assisting players that contribute to a great performance its the whole team and a special mention for Isaac Holt who totally dominated Billingshursts best player and hardly allowed them a kick unless it was a kick he gave them . A very unselfish performance by Isaac who is a true asset to the team.

Well done team 7-0
