After a respectful minutes silence Hurst Colts kicked off, but play was quickly dominated by Cranleigh.  Rylan’s first attempt assisted by Ollie hit the cross bar and Arthurs kick went wide of the goal.  Ollie kept up the pace, however, and bought in the first goal assisted by Arthur.

Cranleigh remained on the attack with good efforts from Rylan and an excellent tackle by Elliot.  The second goal came in the twenty seventh minute from Arthur off the post.  Hurst tried to retaliate but their attempts were thwarted by Jake.

The second half began in heavy rain and Gwilym’s attack bounced off one of their players and went in bringing us up to 3-0.  Hurst Colts earned a free kick but this was competently save by Jake.  The forth goal came from a cross by Raul, flicked in by Harry.

The strongest player from Hurst, number 24, had a few runs at goal and his perseverance finally paid off and he scored late in the second half bringing the score to 4-1.  This minor upset brought out the best in the Cranleigh team and they managed to squeeze out one more goal bringing the final score to 5-1.
